It's hard to believe this crazy year is almost over. I hope all of you have stayed healthy and well despite all the hardships it has dealt us!
The holidays are quickly approaching and I just wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you all to help out some people who might be having an even harder time than you or I have had this year.
***Keeping in mind that those who give shall also receive!***
Some of you may remember last years 3 Ghosts of Xmas event. This year has been harder on all of us and because I know many of you might not have as much financial wiggle room, I decided to do things a bit differently.
I will be hosting a raffle to win an hour of tattoo time with me plus a signed print of a new painting!
You may purchase as many tickets as you like to be entered into the drawing and there will be three chances to win! At the closing of the drawing I will divide up all the proceeds equally and donate on your behalf to the following organizations:
- The Dougy Center The Dougy Center provides support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a death can share their experiences. We provide support and training locally, nationally, and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief.
- The Chelsea Hicks Foundation Inspiring hope and healing to seriously-ill children through therapeutic dress up and play. Chelsea Hicks was an amazing little girl who loved life. In April 2007, Chelsea was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms’ tumor cancer, involving her right kidney, lymph nodes and lungs. Chelsea loved to dress up, have tea parties and parades while on the oncology floor. On February 20, 2009, Chelsea lost her courageous battle. She was only five years old. We will forever be grateful for the hours of fun and play that she inspired with her impish grin and infectious laughter. She will never be forgotten and we honor her by helping other kids fighting serious illnesses with The Chelsea Hicks Foundation and Chelsea’s Closet program.
- PDX Diaper Bank No family should have to choose between purchasing food or diapers for their children. Our mission is to provide no cost diapering supplies to low-income and houseless families through community agency partnerships.
Good luck and happy raffle time!
